Ohio University Online MBA - Health Care Program
The Ohio University College of Business offers an online MBA in health care, which takes two years to complete and students must attend one weekend residency at the campus in Athens, Ohio. The online MBA is based on four pivotal concepts: strategic leadership, innovation, professional development, and entrepreneurship.
The core components of the online MBA program promote learning objectives such as developing effective leadership skills, being able to conduct business across a variety of disciplines, creating a collaborative environment through team-building skills, and conducting business in an ethical manner.
The health care concentration courses focus on the organization of the U.S. health care system and how it is financed and delivered, including cost analysis, budgeting, financial statement analysis, and valuation.
Those with two or more years professional work experience may apply, although the experience does not need to be within the health care realm. Graduates of health care MBA programs may go on to positions with hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment companies, and private health care firms, among others.
