Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from a regionally accredited institution. Students with a lower GPA may be considered on an individual basis. Up to six graduate credits may be transferred into the program upon approval.

No GMAT/GRE or work experience is required, although a resume is required with the application. To apply, students must submit an application, resume, official transcripts, a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation. In addition, prospective students complete an interview with the MBA program coordinator.

Study Plan: The King University online MBA in healthcare administration begins twice each in the fall, spring, and summer. All students must take a comprehensive MBA exam during the final course. Courses run five weeks each, and the program is designed to be completed in four consecutive semesters equaling 16 months.

Curriculum: The online healthcare administration MBA comprises 36 credits plus a comprehensive assessment. Students without a business degree must complete the following seminars before beginning core courses: statistics, economics, accounting, finance, and marketing.

Core courses include leadership; economics of organizational architecture and strategy; quantitative and research methods; marketing; business law; accounting for managerial decision-making; strategic financial management; applied management science; strategic management; and comprehensive assessment.

Healthcare administration concentration courses include healthcare systems, legal and ethical issues in healthcare, and managed healthcare.

Online Experience: The online MBA program is structured so that students take one course at a time in five-week increments. Each week, a synchronous four-hour online session may be included for learning and collaboration using case studies for group discussion.

King University delivers courses through the Canvas online learning management system. Students have access to academic advising, the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), library services, Upswing online tutoring, the online writing center, technical support, and career counseling.

On-Site Requirements: There are no on-site requirements as the King University online MBA is 100 percent online. Students are welcome to visit one of the King University campuses and participate in graduation.
